SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer. With SSL enabled on your Web Site, visitors will be able to view and send information over the Internet in an encrypted form. The user will see a Lock appearing on their Web Site.

 

STEP 1 - ENABLE SSL ON YOUR WEB SITE
the first step is to enable SSL on your Web Site. to do this you should:

 

STEP 2 - CREATE A SECURE ORDER FORM

A simple demonstration order web page has been created for you. The file is called demo_order.htm and is located in the SSL directory of your Web Site.

To access this HTML page via SSL Security, you should ensure that SSL has been enabled. To enable SSL on your Web Site.

The Mission Control Panel will also list the Server Name which should be used to access your SSL Order.

the URL will be in the following format:

https://wic001u.server-secure.com/vs123795_secure/demo_order.htm

If you want to access this page without SSL security use:-

http://wic001u.server-web.com/ssl/demo_order.htm
OR
http://www.
yourdomain.com.au/ssl/demo_order.htm

Notes

Do not use demo_order.htm or readme.htm
Please do not use the demo_order.htm or the readme.htm files as any changes you make to them may be deleted when we change the order system and build new demo html files for you.

demo_order.htm
Before you use the demo_order.htm order form you must edit the line in the file which refers to your VS number. Replace the vs_number_goes_here with your vs number eg: vs123795

With out this lines your orders will disappear into the vapour.

The other hidden field is called redirect. It contains the URL the user is returned to once the order has been accepted and a receipt number has been issued.

Viewing the Orders
To view the orders which have been placed using these forms, open the Mission Control Panel and click the Form Results button under Easy Form.

HTTP/1.0 404 Object Not Found
If your browser generates an error message "HTTP/1.0 404 Object Not Found" when trying to access the SSL URL above then SSL has not been enabled on your Web Site (By default it is not enabled). Please edit the SSL option in the Mission Control Panel.
